About Carrousel

Chef and owner Stephan works miracles. He has completely renovated Carrousel restaurant, enlarging and upgrading the small space and giving this restaurant a completely new and even more charming look. There is a new improved entranceway, new decore and more comfortable seating. You now feel like you are in a real Parisian Bistro, both in the ambiance and the menu.

The menu at Carrousel continues to be excellent and unique in the restaurant landscape. Stephan continues to add with new menu items and specials, with the emphasis on fresh fish. We started our lunch with a small plate of fresh vegetables served wtih two very nice dips. The fixed lunch menu offers soup and a main course. We enjoyed the fish soup, served with croutons and Stephan's amazing brioche, one of his signature dishes.

For our main course we could not resist the Quenelles, another one of Stephan's signature dishes. These were served with a very nice selection of vegetables. My companion had the lasagna, a generous square of pasta served with fresh salad.

Who can resist Stephan's rich and delicious desserts. These sweets all made in house, with a cup of Carrousel coffee, is heaven. We enjoyed one portion of his home made ice cream with nuts and one creme brulee. Both desserts were out of this world.

Note that Stephan produces all the foods served at Carrousel. This includes the items that are often brought in, like the bread or the desserts.

Stephan has expanded the repetoire of the restaurant to include cooking classes and events - such as Bat Mitzva parties, with a cooking theme. Stephan welcomes groups (reservations in advance) who would like some hands-on fun in the kitchen. Contact the restaurant for details.

Stephan also offers take away foods ordered in advance. Call for details.
